Insider's Look
More than just cheese!
Did you know that we are more than just cheese? Besides having a large collection of cheese making artifacts and other agricultural implements, the museum also tells the story of Ingersoll - a town built on cheese since the 1860s. The museum is fortunate to be the repository of 43 years of The Ingersoll Times, donated when the local newspaper office was closed. This resource and thousands of other archival documents offer an engaging glimpse into the local history of Ingersoll and Oxford County.
Original John Hancock signature
The first man to sign the American Declaration of Independence -- John Hancock -- also signed the military commission for Thomas Ingersoll while he was still living in his native Massachussetts. You can see this document when you visit the Ingersoll Museum!
