Overview

Tour this large property that’s home to 17 historic structures! Each houses an exhibit that tells the story of Georgina’s history on the south shore of Lake Simcoe. Explore a general store, train station, houses and more!

Visitors can tour the site at their own pace and experience exhibits that will take you through the 200 year history of Georgina. There is also an enhanced version of the tour available through our tour app "Georgina Village" (available for iphone and android). Additional content and behind-the-scenes views at no additional charge. Either option is fun and informative with several hands-on and interactive components.

Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day. The museum is a part of an outdoor recreation centre offering free amenities such as splash pad, playground and forested walking trail.
Open for general admission from June 3 until August 27 (2023). Wednesday - Sunday, 10am-5pm. Admission by donation except for special events.

Visit the extensive archival collection of council records as well as personal family documents, including land records, photographs, scrapbooks, diaries & related items too. Year round- by appointment only.
